JANK MUSEUM EXHIBIT
In 2017 the St. Charles History Museum featured an exhibit entitled "Jank Music" which chronicled the history of the Jank genre, the artists who have performed it, and the development of #thejankguitarstore and The Jank Music Group in St. Charles, IL as a hub for Jank music and culture around the world.
A suburb of Chicago, St. Charles is the nexus of art, leadership, and innovation in suburban Chicagoland. St. Charles was originally settled in 1834, before the City of Chicago, and has been named the #1 city in the USA in Family Circle's Annual Survey of Best Towns and Cities. St. Charles is the northernmost community of the Tri-Cities where the headquarters of America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory, Fermilab, is located.
The St. Charles History Museum is exclusively dedicated to historical exhibits and not affiliated with music or the arts. It is home to a legacy archive documenting over 250 years of significant events in the region with a collection of more than 10,000 photos and 15,000 artifacts. The Jank Music exhibit was the first and only contemporary history exhibit of record at the museum.
